It’s been a thrilling weekend for at Silverstone for team MFT. Our Managing Director, Bradley, and Technical Director, Ashley, have once again showcased their competitive spirit at the fifth round of the Hagerty Radical Cup at Silverstone in the SR1 race category.
The iconic Silverstone circuit provided the perfect stage for a weekend of racing action. Known for its fast, flowing layout, it’s a track that demands precision. Rivalry – something the Gaunt brothers have in spades – can be a powerful motivator and sharpen your focus. The rivalry between Bradley and Ashley fuels a competitive drive that extends beyond the racetrack. The drive is evident in every aspect of Made for Trade. Qualifying set the scene for a dramatic weekend. With conditions perfect for racing, the competition was fierce.
Race one saw two incidents between the brothers, resulting in a spin for both which lost them some places. Undeterred, Bradley fought back to claim a well-deserved third place.
The momentum continued into Sunday’s races, with Bradley securing second and third place finishes. Ashley added a third-place trophy to the team’s haul in race 2.
The race weekend’s cherry on the cake was when North Motorsport, the powerhouse behind MFT Racing, was awarded MOTUL UK Team of the Weekend. A testament to the team’s dedication and support, which has been instrumental to our drivers’ success.
The final round of the Hagerty Radical Cup will be at Brands Hatch on the 14-15 September.
